2019 Summer Day Camp

                              

Day 1 of our Chinese New Year competition went off with a Bang!

All of the girls hard work has definitely been paying off as they showcased their skills yesterday.

The ODP ages 6-9 were all smiles despite the nerves as this was the first meet for many of the athletes.

The afternoon continued with smiles as the Level 2 (age 9) athletes excelled overall. Leah Luton finished first overall with Maya Siudowski in second. Arabella Lamers finished fourth and Morgan Lukings in fifth. Minah Oatway also finished fourth in the age 11 category. Well done girls!

Level 3 girls took their turn on the podium shortly after as Renae Stefels and Jane Bateson took second and third overall consecutively in the Age 9 A group with Alcina DiLorenzo finishing fourth overall in the Age 9 B group.

The first day was success for all with the joy of competing on home turf.

Day 2 of our Chinese New Year Competition Gymnastics Energy kept the momentum going with another successful day. The athletes were all smiles on the floor as they conquered their routines.

Some of the highlights included:

In the Level 3 athletes, Avery Azzopardi finished first on vault and third overall with Dorothy Foulster finishing second overall and Grace Lombarczki taking fourth on vault in the Age 11 B category. Claudia Dikic received eighth on floor in the Age 11 A category while Simonne McVanel received gold on uneven bars and silver on vault.

In the Age 10 A category, the girls conquered the vault with Ruby Lanzalone finishing first, Hannah Selinger third and Ruby Kirwin fifth. While the Age 10 B category the girls had successful uneven bar routines with Khloe Rivera in fifth and London Counsell in eighth.

The Level 4 athletes had their turn on the podium with Amber Loewen finishing second on balance beam and Sloane Oates receiving first overall in the 10-year-old age group. In the age 11 group Francesca Maney placed second in uneven bars with Hannah Fulton taking fifth on vault. In the age 13 A and B categories Olivia Gauld and Grace Laffin both took home gold overall.

Success continued in the 12-year-old age group, with Callie Johnstone taking second overall and Clara Gretsinger finishing first on uneven bars. Overall the girls took over the podium with Paige Marion receiving first, Kailey McKimm second and Rheagan Hamm third. In the age 9 category Kayleigh Hughes spirit shone through as she placed seventh on uneven bars.

Serving Niagara for over 50 years, Gymnastics Energy is proud to offer a wide range of recreational programs – including artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline, tumbling and Ninja Warrior classes. For some athletes with strong gymnastics abilities and a passion for the sport, we also offer competitive programs (by invitation) including Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, Men’s Artistic Gymnastics and Power Tumbling.

Our new 22,000 sq ft facility is located in the heart of the Niagara region, at 333 Ontario St, St. Catharines (near Skyzone and Boston Pizza). In addition to a large gym space with a variety of equipment for boys and girls gymnastics at every level, we offer a large parent viewing area, cubbies and change rooms for athletes, and air conditioning for our summer classes and camps!
