First WAG provincial qualifier earns Gymnastics Energy 47 medals!!

This past Saturday, 18 athletes from Gymnastics Energy’s Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Level 6-8 team went to Brampton to compete in their first provincial qualifier. The team made an incredible effort producing a total of 18 gold medals, 17 silver medals and 12 bronze medals.
 
LEVEL 8:
Abbey H. competed her first provincial qualifier at Level 8 this past weekend which is an extremely challenging level! She earned first on bars with a 9.45, also earning a special award for best cast. She achieved 1st on floor, 2nd in vault (rocking her Yurchenko!) and 2nd on beam, placing 2nd overall in the Level 8, Age 12 category.
 
LEVEL 7:
Age 16+ – Jia D. earned gold on bars, beam & all around and silver on vault & floor; Emilie H. earned gold on vault & floor, silver on bars & all around and bronze on beam; Paige N. earned silver on beam & floor and bronze on vault, bars and all around
Age 14 – Jazmine D. earned gold on bars & all around and silver on vault & floor; Elizabeth B. earned gold on vault & floor; Ella M. earned gold on beam
Age 13 – Katherine T. earned gold on vault and bronze on floor
Age 12 – Charlotte B. earned silver on vault & beam and bronze on bars & all around

LEVEL 6:
Age 16+ – Olivia P. earned gold on vault, beam & floor, and silver on bars and all around
Age 15 – Hannah F. earned a bronze all around and Ava T. earned silver on beam and bronze on floor
Age 14 – Kelsey C. earned 2 bronzes on vault and floor
Age 12 – Brianna C. earned gold on vault & bars and bronze for floor.
Age 11 – Natalie W. earned silver on beam
 
The girls will compete at their second qualifier on home “turf” in our club in January! Congratulations to all our athletes, as well as Coaches Jason, Amy C and Becky. We wish you good luck at your next competition.
